Overview
The Course Homepage is the first page you'll typically see when you first access your course. It will include various "widgets" which will provide you with information about the course you've accessed. By default you'll find the Announcements, Course Events (Calendar), and the Content Browser Widgets on the course homepage. This guide will provide you with an overview of all the items located on the course homepage.

The Course Homepage Overview
1. Announcements: The announcements widget will contains all the announcements that your instructor has released. You can dismiss any announcement simply by clicking "X" to the right of the announcement title. NOTE FOR INSTRUCTORS: Clicking the "X" will not actually delete the announcement but rather dismiss it from your view while still allowing students to view it.
2. Calendar: The calendar widget will show you any event that you're has setup for you. You may also create your own tasks if you wish.
3. Content Browser: The content browser widget is a shortcut to any topic that can be found in the Content area. You can utilize this widget to quickly open any content area topic if you know which module that item is contained in. To navigate this way, click on a module and continue clicking through any sub-modules until you see the topic you're after.
4. Navigational Bar (NavBar): The navigational bar provides links to various tools deemed necessary by your instructor. The default navbar shown here contains links to the tools most used at Shippensburg and will typically be what you see in your courses.

Course Home: This button will take you back to the course home page.

Content: The content area is the primary location for all content in the course and will typically be the main hub throughout the semester. In addition to course materials you may find direct links to various other tools such as Assignments, Discussions, and quizzes right from the content area.

Assignments: This is a direct link to the Assignment tool and clicking this will take you to all available assignment folders for the course.

Discussions: Direct link to the Discussion tool where you can find all available discussions for the course.

Grades: Direct link to the Gradebook

Classlist: Direct link to the classlist where you can find everyone enrolled in the course and email them.

More Tools: Contains a variety of useful tools including Quizzes, Class Progress, Awards, Groups, Checklists, and Email.

Course Admin: Visible only to Instructors and allows them to manage their courses and access tools not currently available in the NavBar.

Student Services: Provides a list of useful external student resources.
