Dr. Luis Melara, Mathematics, was recently appointed member of the Career Opportunities Committee for the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. This committee serves as a resource for current information concerning the availability and demand of trained individuals in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science. Luis Melara appointed chair of council for Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics
Dr. Luis Melara, Mathematics was recently appointed Chair of the Diversity Advisory Council (DAC) for the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). The DAC addresses policy issues with SIAM related to underrepresented groups. SIAM is an international community with over 14,000 individual members.
