Shippensburg is the only university in Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education to offer a BSBA in Entrepreneurship. Thus, we compete with schools such as Penn State, Pitt, and Temple.
The program has two tracks/majors:
- New Value Creation (traditional entrepreneurial startup)
- Innovation Management (value creation within a corporation/organizational setting)
Entrepreneurship is what powers the economy and you will develop the skills and contacts necessary to make ideas real. This program gives you a broad skill set for traditional venture startup, innovation management and lean entrepreneurship. You will learn to recognize opportunities and convert new ideas into business plans with a focus on implementation. The program also helps you understand risk and develop an entrepreneurial perspective to overcome challenges and achieve success. You'll also receive a thorough background in marketing, management and contemporary economic theory.
