Degree Requirements 

Fall Term Start Date: August 24, 2020

Winter Term Start Date: December 14, 2020

Spring Term Start Date: January 19, 2021

  • Completion of the 42-credit program with a minimum of a 2.00 cumulative GPA
  • Fulfillment of 48 credits of general education requirements
  • Attainment of a minimum of 120 college/university credits

Course Information

Courses needed in the core and foundation will be run at least once every two years. During the spring and fall semesters, accelerated 8-week courses are offered, so you only have to worry about one course at a time. 

This is a part-time program; students take 6 credits offered exclusively for the program per fall and spring semesters. There are opportunities in summer and winter terms to take general education courses online.

Admissions Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or at least 45 transferable college credits
    • If you need to fulfill general education requirements or free elective courses, you may take those classes at your local community college or through Shippensburg University once you’ve been accepted or after you’ve completed the required major courses.
  • Current resume including a goal statement and documenting work and/or volunteer experience
  • A cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0
