SU’s online MBA program named in top 100 by U.S. News

Shippensburg University’s online master’s degree program in business administration was named today (Jan. 12) by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top 100 distance education MBA programs in the country.

GroveHallThe “2016 Best Online MBA Programs” ranking lists Shippensburg’s program in the John L. Grove College of Business as 99th in the nation.

“Shippensburg University has a long history of being recognized for its academic programming and we’re again proud that our online MBA program has received this recognition,” said Dr. John Kooti, dean of Grove College. “This program allows the college to serve the ever-changing needs of the business community and to serve our students with a program that will help them reach their academic and personal goals.”

According to Dr. Robert Stephens, associate professor and MBA program director, “I am very pleased that the online MBA program continues to receive national recognition as a top 100 online MBA program in the U.S. News and World Report rankings. The rapid success of this program can be attributed to the hard work and contributions of highly qualified faculty, outstanding students and tremendous administrative support. The rankings are based on five general categories: student engagement, admissions selectivity, peer reputation, faculty credentials and training, and student services and technology.

Shippensburg launched its online MBA program in Fall 2012. Students can complete it on either a full-time or part-time basis.
