Finish Your FAFSA

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a free form that students can use to apply for federal aid, such as grants, work-study, and loans, before each college year. The FAFSA can also help students determine their eligibility for state and school aid, as well as aid from some private providers.

Why should you fill out your FAFSA?

  • Get access to federal aid
  • Largest source of financial aid. Need-based and not based on high school GPA or test scores. There is no income cutoff to qualify.
  • Provides a realistic price tag for your college expenses
  • Helps students factor in need-based assistance, such as low-cost loan programs
  • Easy to complete. Takes the average student less than an hour to complete

Students should apply as soon as possible to take advantage of federal aid. Granted on a first-come, first-served basis. After submitting the FAFSA, students will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) via email or mail. Colleges will then use the FAFSA data to determine the student's eligibility for federal aid.
