Mathematics Resources and Activities

Mathematics students have access to a number of resources and activities to get involved and enhance their academic experiences.

To stay in the loop about the latest events at Ship, check the:

Problem-Solving Competition - This ongoing event, run by Dr. Taylor, is open to all Shippensburg University students.

Annual Math and Computer Science Day - Shippensburg University’s Annual Math and Computer Science Day brings together Ship students, faculty and staff members with area high schools for an event that includes contests, speakers and lots of fun.

Cumberland Valley ESTEEM - Cumberland Valley ESTEEM (Exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, Earth Science, and Mathematics) is an annual event that brings in area girls to participate in hands-on career awareness activities.

Weekly Department Seminar - The Mathematics Department holds weekly seminars focused on undergraduate mathematics, mathematics education, and mathematical research.

GRE Test - Information for students planning on going to graduate school.

Career Center - The Career Center on campus provides support for Ship students at all levels and even up to a year after graduation. The staff can help you choose a major/minor, find a job on campus, build your resume, find an internship, navigate the interview process, and much more.

Internships - Contact the department for information about internships. The College of Arts and Sciences also provides information about them as well as necessary paperwork.
