Senator Casey tours with the SBDC
On July 26th, Senator Casey joined the Shippensburg University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) staff on a mid-morning walking tour of two of the center’s clients in Chambersburg and Carlisle, PA. Senator Casey visited the GearHouse Brewing Company in Chambersburg and the Falafel Shack in Carlisle.

SU's Grove College of Business junior appointed to SU Council of Trustees
Stephen Washington, of Moon Township, was appointed to the Shippensburg University Council of Trustees by Governor Tom Wolf and approved by the Pennsylvania Senate. Washington will represent his peers as the student member of council.

Two Shippensburg University finance students are among the top 10 winners in a state-wide competition
Two senior finance students, Kyle Taylor and James Roop, have been selected as top ten winners of the state-wide Financial Plan Competition organized by CFA Society of Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh. It is the competition for all finance majored students who are currently enrolled at a two or four year academic institutions in Pennsylvania. Each student is required to work with a faculty advisor to develop a financial plan. Kyle Taylor is ranked #5 and James Roop is ranked #6. The two students had been working under the advising and guidance of Dr. June Pham.
