CIB-Shippensburg 4+1 Program
Shippensburg University offers a 4+1 program where students with a bachelor's degree from the College of Information and Business (CIB) can earn a Master of Business Administration.
All applicants to the 4+1 program must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for admission:
- Applicants must have earned a four-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally-accredited United States institution or an equivalent degree from a non-U.S. institution
- Proficiency in written and spoken English as defined by Shippensburg University.
In order to demonstrate the above qualifications, all applicants must submit:
- Completed online application
- Official transcripts from all previously-attended higher education academic institutions
- Certificate/diploma of bachelor's degree and all other earned higher education degrees
- A current resume
- A goal statement - an essay that answers why you are pursuing an MBA and why from Shippensburg University
- English language proficiency at the level of 6.0 IELTS or 70 TOEFEL
- Proof of financial support
- World Education Services (wes.org) or Educational Credential Evaluators (ece.org) evaluation completed by May 15 deadline
All classes will be conducted in English and neither simultaneous nor sequential interpretation will be provided.
The 30-credit MBA of the Shippensburg-CIB program consists of eight required courses (three credits each) and two elective courses (three credits each). Students in the Shippensburg-CIB program will choose seven of the following eight core courses:
- MBA 502 - Managerial Accounting
- MBA 529 - Corporate Financial Management
- MBA 548 - IT Management and Innovation
- MBA 554 - International Business
- MBA 556 - Organizational Leadership
- MBA 565 - Contemporary Decision Making
- MBA 570 - Marketing Management
- MBA 577 - Supply Chain Management
Students in the Shippensburg-CIB program will complete the capstone course MBA 593 Strategic Management.
