Graduate Research
Research is a core component of the geoenvironmental MS degree. Students must complete either a thesis or a one-semester research project. The one-semester project also requires an internship. The main difference between the thesis and the research project is the scope of the project. Students should consult with their advisor and think about their career goals when selecting the thesis or research project route.
Additionally, all students must take and pass a practical exam. The exam is a small research project that the student has one week to complete. The purpose of the exam is to assess whether the student has met the goals of the program.
