Why Is There A Deadline for Study Abroad?

Studying abroad requires careful planning to ensure academic requirements are met and the transfer of credits are confirmed in advance of traveling overseas. Students are encouraged to plan as early as one year in advance of study abroad. Deadlines are in place to ensure all required application materials can be approved by both Shippensburg University and the overseas program or partner university.  Financial aid paperwork must also be completed in advance of travel.

Deadlines for Academic Year 2025-2026

• Winter and Spring 2026

All application materials must be submitted by these dates.
