Spring salamanders (F. Plethodontidae) are bioindicators of freshwater environments. At Letterkenny Army Depot, we will survey the spring salamander community at one seasonal and two permanent streams that are connected. From the data we collect, population and community trends will be evaluated to determine the health of the communities at the three streams.
