Get Ready to Use Your VA Benefits

Shippensburg University’s Veterans Benefits Office certifies enrollment for undergraduate and graduate students who are eligible for veterans’ education benefits. Follow the steps below  and get ready to use your Veterans Benefits at Ship!

During Fall/Spring semesters, twelve credits are required to be considered a full-time undergraduate student and six credits are required to be considered a full-time graduate student by the Veterans Administration.

Step 1: Accepted and Confirmed
Apply to Ship

The first step is to apply to Ship and make sure you have been accepted and confirm your attendance after acceptance. You can apply as an undergraduate, graduate or transfer existing credits from another school.

Final Step: Contact Veteran Services

After you’ve decided that you are eligible and would like to use your Veterans Education Benefits, request an Enrollment Certification Request Form from the Veterans Benefits Office by emailing vetaffairs@ship.edu OR picking up a paper copy during Orientation.
