Our master of science in computer science program is designed for students from other fields with computer science minds and programming skills.

The MS in Computer Science program focuses on fundamentals of computer science, with a balanced approach between theory and application. Core courses focus on the theory of computation and algorithms and the operation of a computer in terms of the hardware.

Graduates of this program find successful careers as:

  • Data base administrators
  • Data scientists
  • Network/system administrators
  • Security administrators
  • Software engineers

Course work for Computer Science, M.S. (30 Credits)

Admissions Requirements

In addition to the application and transcript(s), Computer Science applicants must submit a resume.

Students with a bachelor’s degree or at least a minor in computer science will find a traditional M.S. in Computer Science. Students who wish to transition from math, science, or engineering into computer science may be fully enrolled in the program after taking recommended courses based on their background.

Once the application is complete, the Engineering Department will begin the review process and make a prompt decision.
