Latest Updates

Notable Updates/Additions

Email copy of announcement to class list (November): Soon-to-be released this month (November) instructors will be able to select an option to email announcements to their classlists.  This will send the announcement to students regardless of if they have opted into receiving notifications.  Prior to this update the only way a student would receive the announcement via email would be if they opted into receiving notifications.

Hide Question Point Values (October): Instructors now can hide point values for quiz questions.  This was added to help ensure students focus on all questions equally.

Print Quiz (August): Instructors can now print a quiz/exam via the drop-down menu on the manage quizzes page.  Prior to this, it was very difficult for the instructor to print quizzes/exams for use by students.

File and Text Submission Type Assignments (July):  Instructors can now create assignments that will accept submissions in the form of an uploaded file, text entered directly into the editor, or both.  Prior to this update instructors had to choose one or the other to accept when creating the assignment and setting the type.

Reopen quiz attempts (July): Instructors can now reopen the most recently submitted quiz attempt, allowing learners to resume from where they left off. The new feature supports scenarios where learners run out of time or submit their attempt by mistake, reducing frustration from auto-submissions and improving overall quiz management flexibility.

D2L Status

What should you do if you start experiencing problems with D2L? 

If you start to experience issues with D2L such as the inability to load documents to the platform, the inability to email your students from the Classlist, or the inability to add anything new (such as a new announcement, Dropbox, etc.) please do the following:

1. If the issue occurs during regular business hours, Please contact the Instructional Design and Technologies department at x1816. When calling please have your course CRN number (xxxxx.201460) available, the time you experienced the issue, a description of the task you were trying to complete, and any error messages received.

3. If the issue occurs outside of regular business hours, please contact the D2L 24/7 Support Center at 1-877-325-7778. When calling please have your course CRN number (xxxxx.201460) available, the time you experienced the issue, a description of the task you were trying to complete, and any error messages received.
