Computer Science Department
The Computer Science Department is big enough to have fun toys to play with, but small enough that the faculty know everyone; big enough to have a variety of programs, but small enough to keep our classes comfortable; big enough to have lots of academic options and extracurricular activities; but small enough to keep everyone connected.
Our Computer Science programs are accredited by ABET, Inc.
Computer Science Major - The Computer Science degree program is designed to introduce students to a wide range of problems and how to implement solutions to these problems as programs. With careful planning, our advanced undergraduate students can complete our MS in Computer Science with only one additional year of study.
Computer Science Minor - Combining a Computer Science Minor with any other field is a great way to distinguish yourself and open new doors. People in every field need someone who can write programs and deploy technology for them.
Master of Science in Computer Science - This broad program helps students pursue the discipline in more depth than an undergraduate degree. With foundation courses like Operating System and Algorithms combined with advanced courses in Software Engineering, High Performance Computing, and Data Visualization, graduates of this program will be able to lead software development in challenging applications.
Master of Science in Information Systems - Shippensburg University’s Master of Science in Information Systems program is a joint program between the Computer Science and Management Information Systems departments that allows you to apply information systems and technology concepts to many business and technical situations.
Override Request Form - If there is a Computer Science (CSC) or other School of Engineering course you are trying to get into and are not being allowed to register please fill out this form.
Student Resources Page - This page will help connect you with many of the resources available to majors in the Morgan School of Engineering or students taking our coures. Some key pieces of information are getting access to your login accounts within the School of Engineering and setting up software related to your course work.
Math/CS Day - Math & Computer Science Day is a celebration of great ideas and problems in mathematics and programming. As part of the event there is a high school programming contest that Programming Team Club helps organize.
