Volunteer Opportunities - Fall 2021

Find an opportunity below that interests you & works with your schedule. If you can’t find one, please reach out to us and we can help connect you to service opportunities:

Community Meals: Volunteers make sandwiches and distribute meals at Katie’s Place to those in need. Fridays: 9/3, 9/17, 10/8, 10/22 from 3:00PM-5:00PM.

Rail Trail Service: Volunteers will support the CVRT by assisting with various projects to help keep the trail beautiful. Friday: 9/17, 10/1 1PM-3PM (meet at the box car/CRVT head)

SPO Diaper Bank: Volunteers will help pack diapers for families in need. 9/7, 10/5, 11/2 3:30PM-6PM at Katie’s Place. Please wear closed toed shoes!

Ghostly Goodies: Volunteers can make candy bags for our upcoming Treats No Tricks Program for local children. Monday, October 11 & Wednesday, October 13 1PM-2PM in the CUB Great Hall. 

Ship Students Must: Log In to Campus Groups to sign up for all service events OR email community@ship.edu

Community Engagement Sponsored Programs

Treats No Tricks: Monday, October 25 2021 5:30PM-7:00PM (Location TBD) - Treats No Tricks is an annual Fall festival where local Shippensburg families are invited to come onto campus in costume and participate in a variety of Fall/Halloween activities. 

Angel Tree: Monday, November 8 - Friday December 3 - Sponsor a child in need by fulfilling their holiday wish list. Pick up your tag at the CUB Info Desk prior to Thanksgiving Break and turn all presents in (unwrapped) by December 3. 

ShipServes Ambassadors - New Leadership Opportunity!

The Community Engagement Office is looking for undergraduate student leaders who are looking to help lead service projects. If this sounds like something you'd like to get involved in, please email community@ship.edu and apply here! Applications will be rolling until September 2021.
