Health and Wellness

Shippensburg University has the appropriate facilities and staff to provide support and care for a variety of issues.

Health services are available to all undergraduate and graduate students who have paid the comprehensive health fee, which is billed as part of your tuition and fees.

Etter Health Center

Located in the Wellness Center on the ground floor of Naugle Hall, Etter Health Center provides care if you are sick or injured and helps you to stay well and prevent illness. Our nurses are available to discuss your questions and problems and arrange for an appointment if necessary.

Hours of Operation:

  • Monday to Thursday - 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday - 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Counseling Center

The University Counseling Center (UCC) provides individual, couples, and group counseling, crisis intervention, and psychiatric services for undergraduate and graduate students. We also provide prevention and consultation services for the entire university community. Based on a commitment to student learning, and social, personal, and ethical development, our mission evolves from that of the university.

Drug and Alcohol Services

This mission of our Connection Alcohol and Other Drug Program is to cultivate within students a sense of personal accountability and empowerment to make healthy choices and responsible decisions regarding the use of alcohol and other drugs. We accomplish this through comprehensive prevention, education, intervention, and community coalition activities.
