Final Exams Fall 2025
Faculty members will communicate to their students how the final exam will be administered for their course(s).
Please locate each of your classes on the PDF chart to find the final exam time and location. All evening classes with start times of 5:15 p.m.; 5:20 p.m.; 5:30 p.m.; 6:00 p.m.; 7:00 p.m.; 7:30 p.m. or 8:00 p.m. will meet in the regular classroom at the regular class day/time for the final exam. Mon/Wed and Tues/Thurs evening classes will have the final exam on the first meeting sequence day (i.e. Monday evening for Mon/Wed classes and Tuesday evening for Tues/Thurs classes).
The Final Exam Schedule may also be viewed on the Registrar’s website at www.ship.edu/Registrar at the bottom of the page under “Information and Services.”
Please note that students who have a time conflict or more than two finals in one day should notify an affected faculty member no later than the week before finals to resolve the matter. If the faculty member is unable to resolve the matter, the department chair should be consulted.
Students should always use the links provided in this communication for final exam information, as we do have some instances where edits may be needed and printed or downloaded copies would not reflect these edits. Please refrain from downloading or printing the final exam schedule.
Questions may be directed to the Registrar’s Office.

Last Day to Withdraw with "W" Grade
Fall 2025
After schedule adjustment for Fall 2025, all students, except first-semester freshmen and students with holds that prevent registration may withdraw from classes with "W" grades through myShip. First-semester freshmen and undergraduate degree seeking students with holds that prevent registration must contact their dean’s office to explore their options for withdrawing from a class. Undergraduate non-degree students and graduate students with holds that prevent registration must complete the Withdrawal Request Form to request a withdrawal from a class.
Students will be able to withdraw from all but their final spring or fall class online. All undergraduate students must personally visit their academic dean's office to process a withdrawal from their final class. Graduate students and non-degree students must complete the Withdrawal Request Form to request a withdrawal from their final spring or fall class.
To withdraw from a class, please follow these instructions:
- Log in to the myShip Experience portal.
- Navigate to the Student Quick Access card and click Student Quick Links
- Under Registration Tools, click on Register for Classes (Add, Drop or Withdraw from Classes).
- If prompted, select the current registration term.
- Click on the Action drop-down menu for the CRN (course reference number) from which you want to withdraw.

The deadline to withdraw from a class or the University and receive a "W" grade can be found on the appropriate semester information page:
Note of Caution: Before withdrawing from a class, careful thought should be given to the possible consequences. Withdrawals may have a negative impact on your progress toward graduation, your eligibility for financial aid, and your health insurance coverage. If you are unsure or have any concerns, you should consult with your academic advisor with questions about your progress toward graduation, the financial aid office with questions about any financial aid you may have, and your health care provider for any potential changes to health coverage.
Students are responsible for any class(es) appearing on their schedule.
Note: After the schedule adjustment period, NO REFUNDS will be given for any withdrawn courses. Charges will not be reduced for classes withdrawn with a "W" grade.
Spring 2026 Undergraduate Schedule Clean up
Spring schedule clean up begins at 8 AM on Monday, December 1 and will end on Tuesday, January 27 for POT 1 (see drop/add dates for other Parts of Term).
If you intended to schedule for Spring 2026 but were unable to do so or if you would like to make modifications to your existing schedule, you should do so during schedule clean-up. Remember, if you have not yet scheduled any courses, you will need to use your alternate PIN (available from your advisor) in order to schedule.
If you have stopped attending your classes this semester OR you do not intend to return for the spring semester, it is important that you officially withdraw from the university. This may help facilitate your return, if you choose to return at a later date. Failure to officially withdraw from the university can impact your financial aid. Since the deadline to withdraw for the fall semester has passed, it is important that you understand that you may receive a grade of “F” for each course you are registered for.
