Big Red's Cupboard is a grant-funded and donation supported pantry available to all Ship students who may need assistance obtaining food and hygiene items. Located in the Ceddia Union Building (CUB) in room 218, this free resource is available for students enrolled at Shippensburg University. There is no application required to access this benefit. The process is simple and private and there is no limit on how often students can visit. The cupboard exists to support students so that they can focus on their education and hunger is never a hurdle in their academic journey.
Ship is designated as a Hunger-Free Campus by the Shapiro Administration for it's ongoing work to support students. Pennsylvania's Office of the First Lady and the Department of Education (PDE) launched the PA Hunger-Free Campus initiative as a coalition of colleges and universities focused on addressing hunger and other basic needs for their students.
