Sociology, BA
Sociology (BA) is the scientific study of human society and social life. The discipline studies the social causes and consequences of human behavior. In more practical language, sociology concerns itself with the institutional patterns of social life and social issues.
Public Service, BS

Graduate Programs
Master of Public Administration

A large alumni network in nearby Harrisburg provides invaluable networking and career connections.
Organizational Leadership and Development, MS
The Organizational Development and Leadership (ODL) program uses a unique interdisciplinary approach to prepare students for leadership positions in various career fields. Our approach provides a broad understanding of leadership strategies and the operational characteristics and concerns of organizations, while also providing the opportunity to select a concentration area for one’s career goals.
Master of Social Work and Master of Public Administration Dual Degree
The dual degree Master of Social Work (MSW) - Master of Public Administration (MPA) allows students to earn two master’s degrees upon graduation. Select coursework is counted for both degrees, shortening the amount of time it would typically take to earn a second degree.
The dual degree in MSW-MPA is ideal for social workers interested in management, administration, public policy, or macro social work. The program prepares students for careers in public service with local, state, and federal government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
