Glen R. Grell, JD
Council of Trustees
Glen R. Grell, JD, is a retired attorney, public official, and public-sector executive with extensive experience in law, government, pension administration, and higher education governance. Prior to his retirement in 2022, he served as Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System.
Grell previously represented Pennsylvania's 87th Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2005 until 2015. Earlier in his career, he practiced law in Central Pennsylvania, served as Solicitor for Hampden Township, and served as Deputy General Counsel to Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge. His public service has also included membership on the PSERS Board of Trustees and leadership in pension and community organizations.
Grell earned a Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University and a Juris Doctor from the Dickinson School of Law. He has served on the Shippensburg University Council of Trustees since 1995, providing decades of institutional knowledge and continuity to the Council.
