Shippensburg University is a member of Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education and operates within a governance structure established by Pennsylvania law and State System policy. The University’s Council of Trustees provides local oversight, guidance, and advocacy, working closely with the President on matters including institutional priorities, academic programs, budgets, facilities, and the University’s relationship with the communities it serves.
