Jolinda Wilson, EdD, serves as Vice President for Administration and Finance at Shippensburg University, providing executive leadership for the University's financial and administrative operations. As a member of the Executive Management Team, she works closely with the President and senior leadership to ensure responsible stewardship of University resources, effective operations, and long-term financial sustainability.
The Division of Administration and Finance supports the University through financial planning and management, budgeting, facilities management and planning, human resources, public safety, and administrative services. Wilson provides leadership for these functions while helping align institutional resources with the University's mission, strategic priorities, and commitment to students.
Wilson joined Shippensburg University as Vice President for Administration and Finance in 2023, bringing more than 25 years of experience in finance, operations, organizational leadership, and education. Prior to joining Shippensburg, she served at Penn State University from 2019 to 2023, first as financial officer for Student Affairs and later as Senior Director for Administrative Services. Her responsibilities included financial planning and analysis as well as oversight involving technology, communications, finance, and other administrative functions supporting Student Affairs.
Before entering higher education administration, Wilson spent more than two decades in K-12 public education and held business administration leadership positions with Central Fulton School District and Greencastle-Antrim School District. Earlier in her career, she gained experience in public accounting, information technology, and project management.
Wilson's relationship with Shippensburg began as an undergraduate accounting student. She later returned to pursue doctoral study in educational leadership through the University's joint program with Millersville University. In 2018, she became the first student to receive a doctoral degree awarded by Shippensburg University. Her progression from student to doctoral graduate to executive leader provides a distinctive perspective on the University's mission, its students, and the importance of responsible stewardship in sustaining educational opportunity.
