Andrew D. “Drew” Alosi is a Shippensburg University graduate and longtime member of the Shippensburg community. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and has spent much of his career working with young people, serving his community, and giving back to the place he calls home.
Drew spent 20 years working in youth rehabilitation and alternative education. He started his career as a Program Director with VisionQuest, Inc., and later became a Treatment Supervisor with Cornell Abraxas. He then joined River Rock Academy, an alternative education provider with campuses throughout south-central and eastern Pennsylvania, where he worked as a Behavior Coach and Case Manager. These experiences gave Drew the opportunity to work with young people facing a variety of challenges and to help them find a path forward.
In January 2023, Drew joined Parx Casino in Shippensburg as Compliance Manager. He worked closely with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and helped to make sure the casino operated in accordance with Pennsylvania’s gaming laws and regulations.
Drew has always believed in being involved in his community. From 2013 to 2017, he served as an elected member of the Shippensburg Area School Board, including two years as vice president. Now in a second term, he serves as President.
Drew was appointed to the Shippensburg University Council of Trustees to complete the term of the late Jeffrey W. Coy. Jeff was a mentor and friend who encouraged Drew to become more involved in the Shippensburg community. Serving on the Council is especially meaningful to Drew because it allowed him to give back to the University that played an important role in his own life while continuing the community involvement that Jeff encouraged.
Drew’s connection to Shippensburg University and the surrounding community goes back many years. His experiences as a University graduate, school board member, community volunteer, and local professional have given him a firsthand understanding of the people and communities the University serves. He is proud to have the opportunity to serve his alma mater as Chief of Staff and contribute to its continued success.
Drew lives in Shippensburg with his wife, Kara, and their three children, with his oldest attending the university, a third-generation legacy.
