SU-Alert is used to quickly alert you in the event of a crisis or emergency that poses an immediate and life-threatening danger to campus. Everyone is strongly encouraged to use this system to receive important alerts.
- Secure, web-based emergency alert system for the entire University and its stakeholders.
- Opt-in system, which means you choose to participate, and you select the way you want to be notified.
- Notifications are sent to your registered email address, and/or text message or voice call to your registered phone number.
- Compliments other emergency notification system you may use, such as Citizen app or NOAA, and focuses immediately on the University Community.

Once registered, you may enter up to 3 email addresses and 3 mobile phone numbers. To help ensure delivery, please add shipcom@getrave.com to the address book of your registered email account to prevent messages from possibly being marked as spam/junk.
Depending upon the severity of the incident, SU-Alert messages can range from specific instructions to general warnings. Primarily, you may receive messages for emergency events that have an immediate or direct impact to Shippensburg University.
The SU-Alert system WILL NOT be used for general notifications of a non-emergency nature and its use will be strictly limited to emergency events.
