SU-Alert Emergency Notification System

You will receive a bob threat/suspicious package alert, based on intelligence that indicates the threat is credible.

You will receive a civil disturbance alert if a large group is disrupting normal campus activities.

You will receive a fire alert if there is a fire threat to building(s), wildfires, local community or industry that endangers campus.

You will receive a hazardous material alert if there is a dangerous or hazardous material incident that may pose a risk to the campus community.

You will receive a Major Road Closing/Off Campus Incident alert if there is an unanticipated event that would disrupt safe passage to and from campus.

You will receive a Medical Emergency alert if there is a confirmed epidemic or event with mass casualties.

You will receive a Personal Safety/Physical Assault alert if there are active situations that include use of weapons, violence, perpetrator(s) at large, active shooter, hostage situation or missing persons. Any situation on or immediately off campus that constitutes an ongoing or continuing threat to persons or property on campus.

You will receive a Severe Weather alert if there are severe weather conditions that have the potential to cause injury to life or property. May include flooding, snow/ice/cold, thunderstorm, wind, tornado or hurricane. 

You will receive a Utility Failure alert if there is a major disruption or damage to utilities including gas, electricity or water.

You will receive an alert for any other condition where lives are in immediate danger and the Emergency Notification System has the potential to reduce the potential of harm.

ll-clear and/or additional follow-up messages pertaining to end-of-event. For example: When an alert has been issued due to a potentially severe storm in the area, an "All Clear" message could be sent when the danger has passed.
