Mike Doner, Undergraduate Commencement
Shippensburg University is proud to announce Mike Doner as the commencement speaker at the Spring 2026 Undergraduate Ceremony, which will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Seth Grove Stadium.
Mike Doner is the president and CEO of Flagger Force, a leading provider of short-term traffic control services across the eastern United States. As co-founder of the company in 2002, he has led its growth from a local startup into a nationally recognized industry leader known for safety, innovation and workforce development.
Doner is responsible for the company’s strategic direction and operational performance, guiding both internal growth and market expansion. His leadership is grounded in a strong commitment to a Safety-Driven® culture that equips team members with the training, tools and support needed to perform at a high level and deliver safe, reliable work zones.
A dedicated advocate for work zone safety, he actively engages with industry groups and policymakers to advance protections for roadway workers and the traveling public. He serves on the board of Construction Angels, which supports families of fallen construction workers, and is a member of the Advisory Council for the Responsible Business Initiative for Justice (RBIJ), where he supports efforts to expand second-chance employment opportunities.
Doner was named Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 – Greater Philadelphia in recognition of his leadership and sustained company growth. Under his direction, Flagger Force has earned multiple industry honors, including placement on Engineering News-Record’s Top 600 Specialty Contractors list, as well as recognition from the INC 5000 and the Central Penn Business Journal.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Journalism and Media (CJM) from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time on the water, boating along the Chesapeake Bay, the Florida coast and the Bahamas.
Michele Kluk, Graduate Commencement
Shippensburg University is proud to announce Michele L. Kluk, JD, ‘24M as the commencement speaker at the Spring 2026 Graduate Ceremony, which will take place on Friday, May 8, 2026, at H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center.
Kluk, is an accomplished attorney, educator, and community leader dedicated to advancing justice, advocacy and lifelong learning. She currently serves as an attorney with MidPenn Legal Services, where she represents older adults in guardianship proceedings and works to ensure fair and compassionate outcomes for vulnerable individuals. She also contributes to statewide policy development through her work with the Guardianship Pilot Program.
Kluk also serves as an adjunct professor at Widener University Commonwealth Law School, teaching trial methods and sharing her extensive courtroom knowledge with aspiring attorneys. Her legal career has included roles as deputy attorney general, chief prosecutor, and senior associate attorney, reflecting a deep commitment to justice across both public service and private practice.
A past president of the Cumberland County Bar Association, she has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star. She’s widely respected for her professionalism, compassion and mentorship within the legal community.
In 2003, Kluk earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in psychology and sociology from Moravian College. Then, in 2006, she completed a Juris Doctor, from Widener University School of Law and also earned a Master of Science in Applied Psychology from Shippensburg University.
Outside of her professional life, Kluk enjoys hiking, traveling, snowboarding and spending time with her dog. She’s also a second-degree black belt and proud recipient of the Girl Scouts Gold Award, which stands as a testament to her lifelong dedication, discipline and service to others.
