Shippensburg University offers a free bike share program to the campus community.
Centrally located in the Cumberland Valley on a 210-acre campus, there are countless places to bike at Shippensburg University and in the region. Bike to class, explore downtown Shippensburg, or enjoy the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail, which extends from campus about 13 miles north past Newville. Off campus, discover trails in more than 250,000 acres of state parks and forests. We welcome bicyclists of all skill levels on campus and strive to provide you with access to a bike friendly campus!
There are a limited number of bikes for rental, and availability cannot be guaranteed. Availability varies based on time of year, weather, and ShipRec operational hours.
Bike rentals may be stopped in anticipation of inclement weather. It is recommended that all riders check the local weather forecast before heading out for a ride, and to continue monitoring weather conditions during a ride if inclement weather approaches.
