ROTC Scholarships

There are many scholarship opportunities for ROTC students that assist with many of the financial obligations of a college education.

  • Full tuition and fees (either in or out of state) or housing and food
  • Can be used in conjunction with other scholarships
  • $1,200 per year book allowance
  • Monthly allowance of $420 while attending class
  • Commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army upon graduation, with service in the Active Duty Army, Army Reserves, or Army National Guard
  • Marketable leadership skills and experience

There is an eight year service commitment, which can be served in the following ways:

  • At least four years on Active Duty, with the remainder served as a part-time officer in the National Guard or Army Reserves
  • At least four years on Active Duty, with the remainder served in the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR)
  • Eight years of part-time service in the Army Reserves or Army National Guard

Scholarships for ROTC Students

National High School Scholarships

High school seniors and soon-to-be seniors can apply for an ROTC scholarship. Students are eligible to apply for the four year National High School Scholarship beginning in the June before their senior year.

Campus-Based Scholarships

Cadets without a contract have the opportunity to compete for Campus Based Scholarships that range from 2 to 4 years. A cadet's academics, physical fitness and leadership potential are considered in deciding the recipients of these scholarship.
